In this episode we hear from Eliana B and Lulu Alexander, both amazing wedding and event planners who are good friends and have worked together on many projects over the past years. After meeting as attendees of a workshop in Paris, the two have become great friends. Eliana has been a speaker at everyone of Lulu’s Inspire Design workshops. Now Lulu is working together with Eliana to expand the digital side of The B Collective. During this episode we discuss their experiences and women of color while attending wedding industry events. We also discuss how as an industry we can move forward with a focus on inclusion and the many ways diversity creates strength and makes us all better.
About the Inspire Design Workshop
Inspire is an intentionally and carefully crafted experience designed to engage attendees through sights, sounds and tastes, and to foster both learning and exploration of your craft while bonding with like-minded creatives over good food, wine and conversation. Attendees experience a fully immersive design approach, from tabletop styling to sales and everything in-between.
Inspire does away almost entirely with computer screens, classroom style presentations and homework, and instead the workshop teaches through doing, intimate groups, discussion and collaboration. Each presenter has been selected, not only because they are total bosses at what they do but because they are inspiring themselves, and incredibly warm, open and giving people.
